Job Summary
Reporting to the Sr. Director, Purchasing , the Business Analyst is responsible for analyzing, communicating & coordinating supply related activities impacting formulary programs. The role involves collaboration with various business units such as Procurement Strategy and Operations and actively supports negotiations led by the Senior Management team.
Specific Responsibilities
Program Management & Revenue Generation
Monitors global market supply trends and identifies potential impact to program
Monitors and analyzes service levels and MCS related to programs
Provides key stakeholders with relevant information and suggests actions required in order minimize and/or mitigate impact and/or risk
Proactively addresses key supply issues with suppliers, collaboratively develops mitigation plans and ensures implementation through appropriate follow-up
Identifies potential supply risks related to formulary changes and proposes solutions to key stakeholders
Monitors supplier KPIs related to program by maintaining scorecards and leading regular touchpoints
Collaborates with Demand Planning team to track changes in demand trends outside of formulary that can potentially impact program performance and initiates mitigation plan accordingly
Collaborates with Demand & Supply Planning teams to ensure sufficient inventory levels & forecast accuracy on primary program items
Proactively coordinates program changes with Demand & Supply planning and follows through accordingly to ensure readiness teams, from an inventory & timing perspective, prior to change going into effect
Gathers, negotiates and claims penalties on program related lost sales per supplier on a quarterly basis.
Relationship Management
Builds and maintains strong relationships with internal and external (suppliers & customers) stakeholders
Coordinates & leads weekly meetings with suppliers to review supply chain performance related to program
Contributes to and supports ongoing and new projects related to formulary programs.
System Maintenance
Collaborates with Formulary Program team to support auto-substitution system changes when required
Supports customers on technical system specifics related to the formulary program and any other formulary/pricing matters.
General Responsibilities
Maintains relevant business knowledge of product categories and stays abreast of market and industry trends and conditions
Acts as a McKesson ambassador of corporate values.
Job Requirements
Minimum 2-3 years Supply Chain Analytics and/or Demand Planning experience
Experience in retail pharmacy and pharmaceutical background is an asset
Background in sciences is an asset
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or Supply Chain Management preferred.
