We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Analyst to join our Finance team, supporting Bird’s Shared Services department. This role offers an excellent opportunity for growth and development within a dynamic and fast-paced environment. The Shared Services department includes our payroll and accounts payable teams, where process efficiency and automation are key drivers of success. This position reports to the Senior Manager, Business Process, Finance Shared Services.What You Will Be Working On
Evaluate existing business processes to identify innovative solutions to enhance business processes optimization.
Support the development and implementation of process enhancement initiatives under the guidance of leadership and senior team members.
Participate in cross-functional discussions focused on process improvement and contribute to project execution.
Use data analytics tools to help identify process gaps, trends, and performance metrics.
Collaborate with stakeholders to gather data and requirements and support the communication of proposed changes.
Review, create, and maintain process documentation, including workflows, procedures, and standards.
Monitor and analyze performance data and generate reports to track progress and highlight improvement areas.
Support the development of Power BI dashboards and reports to develop analytical insights and respond to business inquiries and external reporting requests.
Support change management efforts to facilitate the adoption of new processes.
Assist in training sessions and provide support to team members adapting to process changes.
Stay informed about industry trends and best practices in business process management.
Help identify risks in business processes and contribute ideas and efforts to develop and implement mitigation strategies.
What We Are Looking For
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related discipline, or equivalent experience in Finance functions.
3-5 years of experience in finance, business analysis, or process improvement; exposure to payroll and/or procure-to-pay (P2P) processes is an asset.
Familiarity with ERP or operational systems related to Finance functions (e.g., AP, AR, Payroll, GL) is preferred.
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel; ability to create complex formulas, pivot tables, and perform data analysis; knowledge of VBA and macros is an asset.
Experience analyzing data in Power BI reporting; dashboard development experience is an asset.
Experience with Viewpoint (TC1) is an asset but not required.
Basic understanding of payroll and P2P processes and Canadian regulatory requirements is beneficial.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on process efficiency.
Self-starter, able to work independently, with a willingness to learn and contribute in a team-oriented environment.
