Overall Purpose of the Job
You will be joining MUFG’s Frankfurt based European Structured Finance team and provide support to enable the development, execution and management of the structured and project finance debt and advisory products across the Energy, Infrastructure and Advisory teams.
Function Positioning
ESFO is a market leading Structured and Project Finance business and incorporates advising on and arranging the financing of large scale projects in the wider infrastructure and energy space. Many of our projects are related to global trends of:
Digitisation (.e.g. fibre networks, mobile phone towers, datacentres);
Energy transition (renewable energy projects, transmission grids, biofuels, e-fuels, Hydrogen, LNG, CCS, power generation);
New build of key infrastructure (incl. transportation & social infrastructure, EV-infrastructure, waste management/energy from waste).
In addition to lending related business a specific strength of the Structured Finance team is its financial advisory capability that has broadened from pure debt advisory in scope and now also includes equity advisory capability. In addition to its core lending related business for core clients in focus countries in Europe, the strategy of the team is to further expand the geographical and sectoral focus in order to support new clients.
The role includes the following
Specifically, you will be accountable and responsible for taking appropriate action with respect to:
Responsible for conducting product and market research from a range of generalised and specialist sources, extracting relevant information and summarising data to inform decision making at more senior levels.
Responsible for using existing models to analyse product performance, identifying simple patterns and trends to support decisions relating to product development or marketing.
Responsible for working with colleagues in the credit function to co-ordinate the production of credit applications with some responsibility for more generic sections using a standard template to inform investment decisions.
Responsible for liaising with clients at a counterpart level to relay specific information and respond to routine queries ensuring a high level of customer service.
Responsible for building relationships throughout the bank to establish a peer network, gather relevant information and help to ensure effective inter-departmental collaboration.
Being accountable for initial compliance checks in line with internal and external processes and procedures.
Responsible and accountable for developing a practical understanding of all core systems and procedures within ESFO and how they link into standard systems in order to respond to enquiries.
Responsible for assisting in the preparation of marketing materials (including proposals and pitches).

Through collaboration with MUFG Securities (Europe) N.V. employees, responsible for facilitating the marketing and origination of transactions with your area of specialism in respect to the MUS product suite.
