Main responsibilities:

  • Support integration of the realized data for new and existing AES Clean Energy assets into ETRM and Bid-to-Bill systems.
  • Troubleshoot data discrepancies between various commercial systems and implement solutions.
  • Using SQL, excel and other tools, pull data queries/tables to identify and fix data issues/errors.
  • Validate realized volumes, prices, and fees in our ETRM testing/production environments and support all existing and future processes to meet control, compliance, and audit requirements.
  • Work closely with Bid-Bill vendors to identify and fix issues proactively. 
  • Automate/improve processes for scalability and efficiency utilizing available tools and resources.
  • Work closely with ETRM position reporting, settlements, and market ops teams to support modeling new & existing assets to settlement quality. Lead sourcing of all necessary inputs for trade creation and underlying position details. 
  • Work closely with Digital teams to support and maintain required updates to existing processes and propose/develop improvement opportunities.
  • Maintain strong relationships and collaborate extensively with key internal stakeholders including trading desks, market operations, ETRM core team, audit, risk management, and settlements group.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, finance, economics, math’s, sciences or equivalent.
  • 1-2 years of experience with ETRM systems and Bid-to-Bill systems. Allegro, Adapt2 preferred.
  • Experience in one or more US power markets - CAISO, ERCOT, PJM, NYISO, NEISO and MISO.
  • Advanced knowledge of SQL/TSQL with direct experience in Microsoft and Google platforms.
  • Experience working with APIs.
  • Proficiency in MS EXCEL, PowerBi and other MS Office suite products.
  • Comfortable pulling and analyzing large amounts of data and ability to understand database structures and SQL queries.
  • Understanding of data flow between any of the commercial operations systems, energy commodity transactions, trading, settlements, scheduling, and market operations.
  • Manage multiple projects with minimal supervision and deliver meaningful business results.
  • Proactive team player with high emotional intelligence capable of adapting to ambiguous environments with cross-group collaboration and problem-solving abilities.
