Analyst, Bank Debt Settlements

Scope and Responsibilities

The Operations analyst will be a member of our Investment Operations – Public.  He/She will assist in the Bank debt Settlements related to traded by the Investment teams across all strategies.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Reviewing, processing and maintaining loan documents for closing LSTA primary and Secondary trades including Par and Distressed.
  • Coordinating with trade counterparties to receive and review loan trade documentation.
  • Managing the trade settlement process within ClearPar and internal accounting and trading systems.
  • Communicating trade allocation information to broker/dealers where necessary.
  • The individual will be required to establish close working relationship with global trade support teams.
  • Support escalations from front office pertaining to the closing process and any ongoing queries.
  • Actively participates/leads projects, collaborates and provides valuable input with the various stakeholders, both internal and external.

Experience

  • 1-2 years’ experience in some form of loan closings, some experience in administration of both par and distressed loans, including drafting and reviewing loan closing documentation.
  • Strong fixed income product knowledge particularly Bank Debts
  • Familiarity with Par loan trading market convention. 
  • Proficiency in the use of ClearPar and loans settlements workflow
  • Proficiency in the use Markit.
  • Experience in the use of Geneva accounting system is preferred.
  • Proficiency in Excel with the capability to use advanced functions to perform calculations and reconciliations.
  • General computer literacy and a strong working knowledge of Microsoft office.
  • Outstanding analytic and organizational skills.
