About the location:

Four Seasons Resort Mallorca at Formentor, perched on the spectacular Formentor Peninsula and surrounded by panoramic views of the Mediterranean and the stunning landscape, first opened its doors in August 2024 following an extensive restoration and renovation of the historic property, originally inaugurated in 1929 on a vast private estate. After its successful debut, the resort will reopen to guests in March 2025, reaffirming its status as a unique destination of luxury and elegance on the island.

About the Role

The All-Day Dining Restaurant Chef is responsible for leading the kitchen team to deliver fresh, authentic, and high-quality dishes inspired by Mediterranean and Mallorcan cuisine. This role involves creating menus that celebrate local ingredients and culinary traditions, overseeing food preparation, leading and developing the kitchen team, and ensuring compliance with all health and safety standards. The Chef plays a key role in offering guests a warm, memorable, and locally rooted dining experience throughout the day.

As a department leader, you will inspire and develop your team by leading with passion, integrity, and creativity. You will foster a culture of respect, teamwork, and continuous learning, ensuring a positive and engaging work environment. Through active participation in employee development and guest interaction, you will uphold the Golden Rule and the Four Seasons service philosophy.

You will use your knowledge of Mediterranean and Mallorcan cuisine, together with your leadership skills, to maintain the highest culinary standards and create authentic gastronomic experiences for our guests.

Responsibilities include:

  • Oversee all aspects of kitchen operations, including forecasting, scheduling, training, and motivating the team.

  • Lead, coach, and develop kitchen staff to deliver exceptional quality, presentation, and flavor, reflecting both Mediterranean simplicity and Mallorcan authenticity.

  • Plan and develop seasonal menus and recipes that highlight local produce, seafood, and regional specialties.

  • Ensure consistency in preparation, presentation, and taste of all dishes.

  • Manage labor and operating costs through efficient scheduling, budgeting, purchasing, and inventory control.

  • Conduct menu tastings and pre-service briefings to educate the team on ingredients, preparation methods, and presentation standards.

  • Coordinate with local suppliers to ensure the freshest ingredients and promote sustainable sourcing.

  • Encourage innovation while minimizing waste and promoting environmentally responsible kitchen practices.

What You Bring

  • Fluency in both Spanish and English is required.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Gastronomy or a related field (preferred).

  • Minimum 3 years of management experience in high-end or concept-driven restaurant kitchens, ideally with Mediterranean or local cuisine experience.

  • Strong creativity, adaptability, and leadership skills.

  • Ability to thrive in a remote or resort environment and collaborate within a multicultural team.

Schedule & Hours

Seasonal contract, full-time (40 hours per week), with consecutive and rotating shifts — including early mornings, days, evenings, and weekends.
