Certification may be one of the best kept secrets in Engineering. Perceived as purely regulatory by some, this discipline in fact provides a complete overview of the aircraft development process, from the initial project application to the continued airworthiness of the in-service fleet.
You will join the Airworthiness & Certification department. This dynamic department, is composed of Certification Engineers, Airworthiness Engineers and Designated Signatories, currently based in India and EU. This team provides technical expertise in the field of certification, in-service airworthiness and continued airworthiness. It contributes to Type Certification (TC), change to TC, operational approval, rulemaking and customer services activities.
Job scope:
Within this department, the jobholder will join the ADS team, which covers the following technical fields:
Continued Airworthiness
Investigate Occurrences, including generation of Engineering Occurrences (EngO); pursuit the Technical Investigation; to establish the Local or Global Airworthiness Risk Assessment; follow up on time reply to all relevant Occurrences and Airworthiness Review Sheet (ARS); ensure organization and drumbeat of ARM preparation meetings; ensure coordination with LCE and other relevant Organizations; checking ADs.
After gathering appropriate experience, the Jobholder would be nominated RO Leader, occurrences for multi-ATA.
Approval of Design Change
Identify the applicable Certification Basis; identify relevant, affected airworthiness and environmental requirements; identify means of compliance to the concerned airworthiness requirements; determine impact on Operational suitability Data (OSD); determine impact on manuals; prepare Major Change Certification Program; pursuit compliance documents to ensure on time availability; review and comment compliance documents.
After gathering appropriate experience, the Jobholder would be nominated Designated Airworthiness Engineer (DAE). As DAE, the Jobholder will execute the Airbus DOA privileges (Classification of Changes to the Type Certificate as minor and major and approval of minor ones); to accept or reject compliance documents.
Responsibilities:
The jobholder guarantees the Airworthiness of the design changes defined by Airbus, reporting airworthiness issue to a Chief Airworthiness Engineer along with following:
Major end purpose:
Signature Delegation (Check / Approve/ Refuse) in order to deliver Change approvals in line with Program’s expectations.

These experiences will reinforce the back ground of the candidate, his/her capacity in understanding, integrated design and airworthiness of an aircraft.
