What You'll Be Doing

This position is responsible for all aspects of customer service; receiving and processing orders, direct communication with our customers, follow up and problem solve orders when necessary, and provide efficient and professional service to our customers.

  • Receive and process customer orders efficiently, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.

  • Respond to customer inquiries professionally, directing them appropriately when needed.

  • Manage incoming calls, communicate order confirmations, and update customers on order status.

  • Enter customer and job data into JWS and coordinate deliveries with freight carriers for optimal efficiency.

  • Collaborate with customers, drivers, Sales, and Plant personnel; provide after-hours support as needed, including during inclement weather.

Experience and Skills

  • Strong communication skills and professional telephone etiquette.

  • Proficiency in Windows-based programs, JWS, and SAP systems.

  • Bilingual in Spanish; customer service and sales experience preferred.

  • Knowledge of aggregates or construction materials helpful.

  • High school diploma or equivalent; college degree or additional training preferred.

Work Environment

This role is based in an office setting within an aggregates operation. It may require occasional visits to plant or site locations. The environment is collaborative, fast-paced, and focused on delivering exceptional service to our customers.

Physical Demands of the Job

  • Ability to sit or stand for extended periods while working at a computer or desk.

  • Occasional walking on uneven surfaces during site visits.

  • May require lifting or carrying office supplies or small packages (up to 25 lbs).

  • Use of standard office equipment such as computers, phones, and printers.

  • Visual and auditory ability to respond to customer inquiries and communicate effectively.
