AEM QA Engineer

Primary Responsibilities: 

Responsible for executing test cases to ensure the functionality, usability, compatibility, and performance of web applications, while identifying and reporting bugs for resolution. 

 

Education and Experience:

  • Typically 4+ years of QA experience, with at least 3+ years focused on AEM or similar CMS platforms.

 

Proven Skills and Abilities :

  • Strong expertise in Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) platforms (preferably AEM 6.x versions and AEM Cloud ).
  • Proficient in testing all AEM capabilities like authoring, components , templates , workflows , dialogs , DAM , MSM capabilities and caching mechanisms. 
  • Strong expertise  in testing Ecommerce based applications and using Salesforce Commerce Cloud ( SFCC ) as an Ecommerce Engine. 
  • Proficient in testing APIs and using API testing tools like Postman, SoapUI, or REST-assured.
  • Expertise in writing test suites, test plans, test cases, and test scripts tailored to AEM solutions.
  • Skilled in evaluating web applications for compliance with Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) and delivering comprehensive accessibility reports.
  • Extensive experience in Functional testing, Unit testing, Integration testing, Regression testing, GUI testing, Browser Compatibility testing, Ad-hoc testing, System Testing, Performance Testing, Build Verification Testing.
  • Experience with using Selenium and other testing web frameworks to automate test cases for regression and smoke testing. 
  • Knowledge and experience in testing web performance using the standard Web KPIs. 
  • Experience testing large-scale web applications or enterprise-grade content management systems.
  • Ability to perform end-to-end testing of web applications built on AEM.
  • Understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies and active participation in sprint ceremonies.
  • Strong ability to analyze requirements, design test scenarios, and identify test data.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication skills to collaborate with developers, product owners, and other stakeholders. Prior experience working in a cross-functional Agile team environment.
  • Leadership experience in mentoring junior QA engineers.
  • Ability to work independently and take ownership of quality deliverables.
  • Detail-oriented mindset with a proactive approach to finding and reporting defects.
