Hiring Range:

$106,080.00 - $190,944.00

Position Summary: The Hematology/Oncology APP Team Lead, will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of clinical care are provided to all patients through the effective coordination of department Advanced Practice Providers (APPs) and clinical services. Ensures and facilitates open communication with all staff, to promote improved performance of the service line. Serves as a liaison among the physicians, advanced practice providers, residents, fellows, managers, nurses, patients, and their families in the fostering of patient satisfaction. Contributes to the growth and development of the program, serving as administrator, clinical specialist, and direct patient care provider

Major Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for interviewing and coordinating the hiring and training of all new Hematology/Oncology Health Alliance Advanced Practice Providers (APPs) in collaboration with the Health Alliance Medical Director and APP Service Line Coordinator.

  • Develops and coordinates the schedule for all APPs in assigned service line/disease specific grouping.

  • Manages APP time off requests to ensure adequate coverage. Ensures adequate clinic coverage for the Hematology/Oncology Health Alliance Advanced Practice Providers.

  • Acts as a primary resource and mentor for clinic staff by providing guidance and support to clinical staff in the performance of daily activities regarding patient care.

  • Ensure adherence to evidence-based practice and institutional protocols Serves as liaison between the APP staff and the Health Alliance Medical Director and APP Service Line Coordinator

  • Provides and coordinates clinical feedback and fosters communication amongst nurse practitioners, physician assistants, nurse managers and nurse educators.

  • Promote teamwork and a positive work environment

Experience/Skills:

  • Master’s degree from an accredited NP or PA program.

  • NP or PA certification.

  • Massachusetts NP or PA license

  • Minimum five (5) years of clinical experience as an advanced practice provider

  • Experience with and ability to provide direct patient management

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in Hematology/Oncology
