Your impact at MUFG

You will execute administrative tasks in order to support the Relationship Managers, Team Head and Department Head in JCBD.

Function positioning

The function forms part of JCBD, which consists of 5 units: Relation Manager & Business Promotion, Administration, CMS, KYC and Credit Analysis. The task of JCBD is to develop and maintain Japanese customer base, and to gain profits through promotion of the bank’s products and services within the risk framework of the bank.

The role includes the following:

  • Executing administrative tasks related to JCBD customers;
  • Handling loans, deposits, foreign exchange transactions, and other products/services;
  • Performing regulated daily/weekly/monthly monitoring of customer's account and transactions and resolve any issues that may arise;
  • Preparing OVS instruction sheets for system input;
  • Drafting of agreements and guarantee documents;
  • Ensuring timely processing of reporting requirements;
  • Supporting Relationship Managers in the execution of sanction monitoring and other regulatory compliance tasks; 
  • Responding to a wide range of customer enquiries via phone and/or email, resolving issues satisfactorily, referring matters to appropriate colleagues when necessary;
  • Carrying out various of tasks given by Team Head and Department Head in support of the MBE group’s business expansion;
  • Collaborating with other JCBD team members to meet targets and team objectives, fostering a harmonious and cooperative team;
  • Contributing to the overall completion of the team’s workload;
  • Ensuring compliance with the Bank’s rules, policies, procedures and guidelines as well as all relevant regulatory and statutory requirements;
  • Providing support to and work in collaboration with the administration teams of the Brussels, Madrid and Vienna branches to facilitate efficient and effective operational execution.

In order to be successful in the role, you will need the following:

Technical skills:

  • Comprehensive knowledge at WO/HBO level;
  • Basic knowledge of finance and data-processing;
  • Proficient skills in Windows and MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint);
  • Preferably at least 1 year of experience;
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team;
  • Ability to work under pressure while maintaining high quality and meeting deadlines;
  • Willingness to understand MUFG strategies, regulations and manuals;
  • Multitasking abilities;
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both English and Japanese. Proficiency in Dutch is preferred.
