We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Middleware Administrator to join our team. In this role, you
will design, implement, and maintain middleware platforms that enable seamless integration and
communication between software applications and systems. You’ll play a vital part in ensuring the
reliability, security, and performance of critical business systems while collaborating with crossfunctional teams and driving automation and optimization initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Expertise Hands-on expertise with middleware systems such as IBM WebSphere, Tomcat
Middleware Deployment & Administration Spearhead the installation, configuration, and
lifecycle management of middleware platforms across development, testing, and
production environments.
Performance Optimization & Monitoring Continuously monitor middleware environments,
identify performance bottlenecks, and implement advanced performance tuning strategies
to ensure systems run at peak eƯiciency.
Patch Management & Upgrades Oversee timely application of patches, software
upgrades, and security vulnerability remediation to keep systems up-to-date and resilient.
Automation & Scripting Transform repetitive tasks into seamless processes through
scripting (e.g., Bash, WLST) and automation tools like Jenkins. Build CI/CD pipelines to
enhance deployment eƯiciency and consistency.
Advanced Troubleshooting Diagnose and resolve intricate middleware issues related to
performance, integration, server stability, and resource utilization. Conduct in-depth root
cause analysis and provide robust solutions.
Security Administration Safeguard middleware platforms by implementing and managing
security configurations, including SSL/TLS certificates. Ensure full compliance with security policies and audit requirements.
Disaster Recovery & Capacity Planning Design and execute disaster recovery strategies to
ensure uninterrupted business operations. Collaborate on capacity planning to align
middleware capabilities with business growth.
Documentation & Best Practices Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation
for middleware configurations, operational procedures, and best practices to ensure
knowledge sharing and system reliability.
Networking and Infrastructure Good Understanding in networking and infrastructure
concepts to be successful in supporting as middleware administrator.
Cross-Functional Collaboration Partner with software developers, network engineers, and
security teams to deliver integrated, secure, and high-performing application ecosystems.
Rotation On call support (24/7) rotation.
Shift Ready to work morning or afternoon shifts
Key Skills & Qualifications
Education bachelor’s or master’s in computer science or equivalent education.
Middleware Platforms:
8+ years of strong experience with web servers (e.g., Apache, IIS,
IBM HTTP) and application servers (e.g., WebSphere, Tomcat).
Operating Systems:
5+ years of Strong administration skills in UNIX/Linux (RHEL, SLES)
and Windows environments.
Scripting:
Proficiency in scripting languages such as Bash, SH or python.
Soft Skills:
Strong communication, problem-solving, and documentation skills are essential for eƯective collaboration and knowledge sharing.
Addon-Skill Skills in Oracle ORDS will be preferred.
Troubleshooting: Ability to analyze log files, thread dumps, and heap dumps to debug
application errors and performance problems.
Networking and Infrastructure Good understanding of high-level networking and IT
infrastructure concepts

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or any other related discipline or equivalent related experience.
Preferred Certifications:
WORK EXPERIENCE:
2+ years of directly-related or relevant experience, preferably in application support or system/application/database administration.
