Administrative Liaison – Outpatient Cardiology Office – Amsterdam, NY
The Administrative Liaison will split its time between surgical scheduling and administrative support of the practice. They also provide adequate backup in reception coverage by assisting in greeting outpatients, collation and handling incoming calls. In supporting the practice physicians this position will be responsible for surgical scheduling.
This position is located at 2 Palisades Drive, Albany, NY.
Responsibilities:
Administrative support to Physicians and Senior Staff in the Office
Surgical Scheduling
Backup to Registration Associates
Other duties as assigned
Physician credentialing and CME tracking
Opens and distributes administrative office mail. Sends, receives and distributes faxes
Handles catering needs for meetings as assigned
Proactively prepares for meetings by ensuring agendas, minutes and attachments are complete and distributed to all appropriate personnel.
Coordinates all travel as assigned. This may include transportation reservations, hotel accommodations, and conference registrations assuring that all plans are complete and accurate. Follows-up with distribution of tickets, itinerary and any other appropriate information.
Maintains telephone and office contact lists.
What you will need:
Associate degree in Administrative Medical Secretary or similar major or 5 years of related experience.
Surgical scheduling experience required
Familiar with physician's office procedures
Good oral communication and interpersonal skills
Working knowledge of word processing, spreadsheets, excel, graphics.
HS Diploma / GED Required
Ability to lift 20 lbs.
Pay Range: $20.20- $26.50
Pay is based on experience, skills, and education. Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates. The pay range may also vary within the stated range based on location.
