Administrative Fellow

Position Summary / Career Interest:
This program is designed to provide the Administrative Fellow with an applied learning/work experience through the completion of a structured 18-month program. The first year is comprised of a series of leadership rotations. Each rotation is project focused. Projects are strategic in nature and have high organizational impact with large scope and complexity. The second year is designed to address targeted development needs. Fellow may be assigned projects ranging from program reviews, cost benefit analysis, program planning and policy development and implementation. Fellow may also participate in leadership activities and special events (i.e. attendance at networking events and up to one professional conference as approved). Project/work assignment(s)may require participation in the decision-making process
Responsibilities and Essential Job Functions- Provide administrative and/or meeting support to assigned leaders/executives; be attentive to content of meetings and develop journal of key learnings from all shadowing events. 
 
- Actively participate in special projects/task forces and provide analytical support as needed - Participate in shadowing experiences to develop understanding of health system operations, activities, and infrastructure 
 
- Participate in project management support as directed by the assigned Administrative Fellowship Director 
 
- Develop broad range of healthcare management skills while staying up-to-date with trends and innovations in healthcare service delivery and finance; facilitate key learning activities for health system leaders 
 
- Conduct statistical, financial, operational and other analyses to support management proposals and decisions 
 
- Apply performance improvement methodologies to drive results with rapid Plan-Do-Study-Act (PDSA) cycles 
 
- Demonstrate customer service and patient safety values that are key to providing high quality service to patients and guests 
 - Must be able to perform the professional, clinical and or technical competencies of the assigned unit or department.

Required Education and Experience- Master's Degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration or a related field of study from an accredited college or university.
 
-  Exceptions will be made for recent graduates of programs that require completion of an administrative fellowship prior to receiving their degree.
