Job Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Administrative Assistant – Claims to support our Claims Department with critical administrative, reporting, and follow-up responsibilities. This role is ideal for someone who thrives on organization, communication, and managing multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate will ensure claims are processed accurately and efficiently while maintaining strong communication with adjusters, carriers, and internal team members.
Responsibilities:
Provide back-end administrative support for the Claims Department, working directly under the direction and guidance of the Claims Lead.
Submit new claims and loss reports to carriers using information provided by the Claims Lead.
Update EPIC with all claim details, settlements, notes, documents, and status changes as instructed.
Follow up with claim adjusters to gather status updates, documentation, and any required information.
Send status requests to carriers and maintain organized tracking of follow-ups and responses.
Maintain accurate and well-organized electronic claim files, ensuring all documents and correspondence are properly uploaded into EPIC.
Assist with preparing internal reports, documentation, and claim-related summaries.
Perform administrative tasks such as data entry, document management, scanning, filing, and maintaining department records.
Support the Claims Lead with routine workflow tasks and follow-through to ensure timely completion of all claim-related activities.
Ensure accuracy, confidentiality, and consistency in all claim data and internal communications.
Requirements:
HS Diploma or recognized equivalent
Previous administrative experience required; insurance or claims experience a plus.
Strong computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word).
Experience with EPIC or other agency management systems preferred.
Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
Strong organizational and time-management skills; ability to handle multiple priorities.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to follow up consistently and professionally with carriers, adjusters, and team members.
Self-motivated, dependable, and able to work both independently and collaboratively.
Proficiency with MS Office
Prior experience with Applied Epic is a plus

Pay Details:
The base compensation range for this position is $50,000 - $60,000. This range reflects Acrisure's good faith estimate at the time of this posting. Placement within the range will be based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to skills, experience, qualifications, location, and internal equity.Candidates should be comfortable with an on-site presence to support collaboration, team leadership, and cross-functional partnership.
