About This Opportunity 

We are seeking a proactive and collaborative team member to support the delivery of high-quality teaching, clinical placements and assessment activities across the Doctor of Medicine (MD) program. Working closely with clinical unit staff across a range of medical disciplines, you will help ensure a smooth and positive learning experience for our medical students. You will also contribute to Regional Training Hub initiatives that strengthen regional learning opportunities and partnerships, supporting UQ’s commitment to developing skilled, community-engaged medical graduates. This role is an opportunity to make a meaningful impact within a supportive, purpose-driven environment focused on excellence in medical education.

Key responsibilities will include: 

  • Support teaching and learning activities by coordinating schedules, updating and distributing teaching materials, assisting with orientation, and providing guidance to students and teaching staff in line with University policies.

  • Coordinate and administer examinations and assessments, including results processing, monitoring student progress and ensuring accurate record management.

  • Work collaboratively with clinical, academic and external partners to support the Medical Pathway and maintain effective stakeholder relationships.

  • Contribute to student recruitment, regional training hub initiatives, events and other administrative duties as required.

About You  

  • A degree or advanced diploma in a relevant area with at least two years’ relevant experience OR an equivalent combination of relevant experience and education/training.

  • Demonstrated commitment to and enthusiasm for the provision of excellent client service.

  • Proven ability to interpret and apply a range of rules, policies and procedures.

  • Demonstrated high level written and verbal communication skills.

  • Demonstrated ability to work well both independently and in a team to prioritise workload and meet deadlines.

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and an ability to demonstrate initiative and good judgement.

The successful candidate may be required to complete a number of pre-employment checks, including: right to work in Australia, criminal check.
