Adjunct Healthcare Faculty - Health Information Technology - Main Campus - Health Care Professions

Grand Canyon University has an opening for Adjunct Health Care faculty members for an in-person, Main Campus course, and we invite applications from individuals who are enthusiastic about sharing their knowledge with our Health Care students.

What you will do:

  • Provide program instruction, incorporating innovative teaching methodologies, cutting-edge technologies and other industry trends reflecting advancements in your discipline
  • Maintain compliance with requirements for program accreditation
  • Uphold the tenets of nursing as a holistic profession as well as the pillars of the University
  • Equip students with the required skill set, facilitating classroom discussions, assessing student performance, and preparing students to be successful leaders in their chosen profession
  • Participate in and/or support of the university program in all areas including an evident congruence with the philosophy and direction of the institution, and service to the community
  • Provide a positive example to students by supporting the University’s Doctrinal Statement, Ethical Position Statement and Mission of Grand Canyon University

What you need:

  • Masters in Health Information (MHI or MSHCI) Medical Records Administration (MMRA), Health Care Administration (MHCA), Health Administration (MHA), Business Administration (MBA), Public Administration (MPA), or Nursing (MSN) required.

  • 5 years work experience in health information technology, health information management, medical records, health care administration in a hospital or acute care or managed care or ambulatory care physician group or long-term care setting.

  • IF an RN, must have an active, current, unencumbered, and multi-state (compact) RN license.

  • We are currently hiring for the Spring semester, 1/5/26-4/26/26. 
  • Class runs 2 days a week - Tuesdays and Thursdays - from 11 AM-12:45.
  • As this is an in-person class, only local AZ candidates will be considered.
  • Must successfully pass a drug screen.
  • Excellent communication skills, and the ability to build positive relationships with students
  • Proficient in English, Grammar, and writing in APA format
  • Provide a positive example to students by supporting the University’s Doctrinal Statement, Ethical Position Statement and Mission of Grand Canyon University.
