Accounts Payable Associate

What You Will Do:
- Work with global teams geographically and across all Harman businesses
- Perform daily tasks fully independently and in accordance with written instructions
- Communicate with external suppliers in case of any inquiries (e-mail, phone)
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders for issue resolution (Vendor Master Data / Disbursement / Logistics / Procurement / AP / Tax / Controlling etc.)
- Participate in meetings with suppliers, AP team and internal stakeholders
- Handle incoming cases on time
- Manage any escalations (if needed) for approval processes
- Take the necessary actions to resolve problems in the shortest possible way
- Handle and coordinate urgent payments with Disbursement team
- Handle payment notifications
- Comply with Harman policies, internal and external audit requirements
- Initiate Supplier Master Data changes, validate bank data changes
- Adapt new systems and tools and to learn the proper usage of them and to apply the learned things in practice
What You Need to Be Successful:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting / finance / commerce or specialized secondary education in economics combined with relevant experience
- At least 1 year of experience in a similar role
- Ability to communicate clearly in English, both written and verbal
- Openness to learn new systems/processes and apply knowledge in everyday work
- Advanced knowledge of MS Office applications required
- Willingness to work in flexible timings and meet strict deadlines
- Strong analytical and interpersonal skills
- Attention to detail, multi-tasking, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to effectively work in a team in a matrix environment
- Be willing to work hybridly with at least one day at the office
Bonus Points if You Have:
- ERP / SAP system knowledge
