The Account Operations Specialist supports Boku’s Account Management team in ensuring the smooth running of commercial and operational processes. Working closely with Senior Key Account Directors and Account Directors, the role focuses on coordination, communication, and operational excellence to help deliver best-in-class service to Boku’s merchants. This is an entry-level opportunity for a motivated, proactive self-starter to build a career in account management and operations within a dynamic, global payments business. The role provides exposure to Boku’s products, systems, and merchant relationships, offering a strong foundation for future growth.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operational coordination - Support the Account Management team with administrative and operational tasks related to merchant accounts, ensuring timely and accurate follow-up on action items.
  • Issue resolution - Help triage and investigate issues by coordinating with teams across the organisation, including PayOps, Finance, and Operations.
  • Documentation and process tracking - Maintain up-to-date records of key account activities, internal tickets, and merchant communications to ensure clarity and continuity across the team.
  • Cross-team collaboration - Work closely with internal stakeholders such as Commercial, Product, Finance, and Operations to support account initiatives and ensure smooth execution.
  • Business review preparation - Assist in gathering data and insights for quarterly business reviews and other reporting activities, ensuring accuracy and consistency in materials.
  • Continuous improvement - Proactively identify opportunities to enhance operational workflows and improve communication between teams.

  • Demonstrates reliability and attention to detail in completing operational and administrative tasks.
  • Receives positive feedback from Senior Key Account Directors, Account Directors and internal stakeholders on quality and timeliness of support.
  • Maintains smooth communication and coordination across teams with minimal need for follow-up.
  • Contributes to improved team efficiency through proactive identification of process or communication enhancements.
  • Shows consistent growth in understanding Boku’s systems, processes, and business priorities.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in Business, Operations, Finance, or a related field.
  • 1–2 years of relevant internship or work experience in operations, account coordination, or client support.
  • Experience using Jira, CRM, or similar workflow management tools is preferred.
  • Strong Excel and data-handling skills are an advantage.
