The opportunity:

We’re looking for a highly capable Account Executive, to join the Demand team and support the expansion of Flexport into France. Spend the first 6-12 months embedded in our EMEA HQ to master the Flexport sales model and support building the initial commercial strategy for the French market.

Our sales team focuses on the full sales cycle from prospecting to closing and implementation. As an Account Executive, you will identify the needs of each account, design and sell a tailored solution. You will help the customers realize the Flexport value proposition by deeply understanding the client’s supply chain.

This position is ideal for an individual who possesses strong sales experience and holds an interest in supply chain and logistics industry. The person's main objective will be to attract customers by employing value-based selling techniques.

This role is ideal for an individual with strong commercial acumen, negotiation experience, excellent communication skills, and the ability to meet and exceed sales quota. It’s an exciting opportunity to contribute to company growth and deliver on our mission to make global trade easy for everyone.

You will:

  • Identify, engage, close, onboard net-new business meeting or exceeding the sales personal quota;
  • Uncovering and connecting with ideal clients through a combination of self-prospecting and collaboration with our SDR team;
  • Consulting with new clients to understand their supply chain needs;
  • Creating a value-add solution, demonstrating our capabilities through remote and in-person meetings;
  • Leading the customer onboarding process by leveraging internal resources and teams
  • Meet regularly with clients to monitor the account health and find ways to improve on their current supply chain experience;
  • Maintain Salesforce accounts records and opportunity pipeline;
  • Continue to expand your knowledge of supply chain processes though internal and external training offerings to best enable you to act as a trusted advisor.

You have: 

  • 3+ years of experience in a full sales cycle (prospecting to closing), with a proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales quotas;
  • Demonstrated ability to run a sales discovery and demo meeting and run a structured sales process;
  • Enthusiasm for cold-calling prospects, leading discovery calls to uncover their needs, and managing accounts to create an outstanding experience for clients;
  • Skills: excellent verbal and written communication, presentation, negotiation, value selling;
  • A fast learning ability, a strong work ethic, and a burning desire to grow into a top 5% sales executive in the region;
  • A background in logistics or freight forwarding is preferred; 
  • Fluent in English and French
  • Willingness to relocate to France in the next 12 months

Experience selling into the French market (preferred)
