Position Overview:

Responsible for promoting and selling Sutter Employer Program portfolio and the Sutter Health Network to employers, payers, brokers and employee populations in assigned book-of-business to achieve patient growth, revenue and margin targets through effective sales activities. Generates leads and referrals; focused on converting these opportunities to support new patient growth and program enrollments. This is a hybrid role based in San Francisco with some travel between the East Bay, Silicon Valley and Sacramento.

EDUCATION

Equivalent experience will be accepted in lieu of the required degree or diploma.

  • Bachelor's: Marketing, Finance, Business Administration or related field or equivalent education/experience

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE AS TYPICALLY ACQUIRED IN:

  • 5 years experience in the health insurance or employee benefit industry and sales.

  • 5 years experience in the health care industry.

SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE

  • Must have a broad working understanding of employer benefit/group health program design, business data and contact manager databases, healthcare, and employer health care needs and issues.

  • Sufficient understanding of the demographic composition and geographic disbursement of the eligible population to implement successful system-wide and area-specific marketing and sales strategies.

  • Proven ability to implement successful strategic initiatives that adapt to changing market environments that support broker retention and community relations.

  • Expertise in being able to execute on designed plans and strategies that will enable growth of Sutter products and services.

  • Collaboration and teamwork skills are critical to the success of this position.

  • Expertise in communication, public speaking, project management and negotiation skills are required.

  • Must be skilled in relationship building.

  • Must have effective computer skills, including use of word processing, spreadsheet and presentation programs.

Pay Range is $52.44 to $78.66 / hour

The compensation range may vary based on the geographic location where the position is filled. Total compensation considers multiple factors, including, but not limited to a candidate’s experience, education, skills, licensure, certifications, departmental equity, training, and organizational needs. Base pay is only one component of Sutter Health’s comprehensive total rewards program. Eligible positions also include a comprehensive benefits package.
