As an Account Director at Apaleo, you will own and expand strategic relationships with our mid-market and enterprise customers. You will drive revenue growth, renewals and expansion while ensuring long-term customer success in close partnership with our Customer Success and Product teams. We’re looking for someone who brings a deep understanding of the hospitality industry, from hotel operations to commercial and technology trends, and can translate that into strategic guidance for our customers. Depending on your profile, this role may focus on hands-on management of enterprise accounts or include building out Apaleo’s Account Management function to scale our proactive customer growth engine. You’ll play a critical role in increasing Net Revenue Retention (NRR) by combining commercial acumen with customer advocacy, ensuring every account grows sustainably while achieving measurable business outcomes with Apaleo.
What You’ll Be Up To:
- Own a portfolio of mid-market and enterprise hospitality accounts, acting as the main commercial and strategic contact.
- Drive renewals, expansions and upsells through strong relationship management, account planning and data-driven insight.
- Partner with Customer Success to align on adoption, product usage and measurable outcomes, ensuring account health and retention.
- Lead commercial negotiations with procurement, finance and C-suite stakeholders.
- Establish account planning and forecasting frameworks, ensuring visibility on renewals, expansion opportunities and churn risk.
- Provide structured market feedback to Product and Marketing based on customer needs and industry developments.
- Represent Apaleo at industry events, trade fairs, and hospitality forums to strengthen brand awareness and deepen client relationships.
- Contribute to building the Account Management function: define playbooks, metrics and cadences that enable scale, transparency and accountability.
What You’ll Bring to the Team:
- Deep knowledge of the hospitality industry, ideally from experience working with or within hotel groups, serviced apartments or hospitality tech providers.
- Proven track record in account management, key account management or customer partnerships within hospitality.
- Strong relationship-building and negotiation skills at both operational and C-suite levels.
- Strategic and data-driven mindset and ability to design scalable processes and monitor account health through key metrics (NRR, churn, expansion).
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills at both operational and executive levels.
- Comfort operating in a fast-scaling, international environment and balancing hands-on work with strategic initiatives.
- Ideally, experience building or leading an Account Management function or introducing new commercial motions in a SaaS organisation.
- Fluency in German and English; French is considered a plus.
