The opportunity

We’re looking for a forward-thinking Account Director to be an integral part of our rapidly growing Channel Sales team! You will be responsible for meeting & exceeding sales goals by supporting the channel sales growth of your clients through usage of TechnologyAdvice’s portfolio of marketing solutions.

What you'll do

  • Engage key decision-makers across executive, sales, marketing, and operations functions to promote and grow adoption of TechnologyAdvice’s marketing solutions, with a focus on ChannelInsider.com.
  • Proactively generate new business opportunities through cold outreach, social selling, professional networking, and industry engagement.
  • Develop a deep understanding of client needs—including their product offerings, partner ecosystems, and target customers—to deliver tailored solutions.
  • Drive sales growth by creating, executing, and refining business development initiatives that expand the sales pipeline.
  • Conduct market research to identify new opportunities, assess customer pain points, and inform go-to-market strategies.
  • Deliver compelling proposals and presentations that clearly articulate the value of TechnologyAdvice’s offerings and align with client goals.
  • Negotiate contracts and close deals effectively, managing objections while maintaining strong, long-term client relationships.
  • Stay current on industry trends and competitors to identify new product opportunities and enhance the company’s value proposition in the market.

 

Who you are

  • Agile professional who excels in a fast-paced environment and thrives on continuously pivoting strategies to drive business needs forward.
  • Results-driven sales professional with 5+ years of experience selling to or partnering with IT channel leadership, with a proven record of exceeding revenue goals.
  • Experienced in digital marketing and demand generation solutions, with bonus points for those who’ve sold to IT channel decision makers.
  • Expert at navigating complex, multi-stakeholder sales cycles, including MDF, co-op, and vendor reimbursement-funded models.
  • Strategic hunter mindset—skilled at uncovering opportunities, identifying budget holders, and driving new business growth within tech organizations.
  • Strong understanding of marketing and IT trends, able to engage confidently with client marketing leaders about strategies, tactics, and emerging technologies.
  • Capable presenter and communicator, able to deliver compelling demos and presentations to both live and virtual audiences.
  • Highly agile and adaptable, thriving in fast-paced environments and continuously refining strategies to align with evolving business needs.
  • Exceptional relationship builder and negotiator, with strong communication skills and attention to detail in forecasting and pipeline management.
  • Collaborative team player and independent contributor, motivated by competition and driven by measurable outcomes.
  • Resilient and persistent, maintaining a confident, determined outlook in the face of challenges or rejection.

Salary Range
We seek to hire top-tier individuals and intend for our compensation to be at a rate that allows us to recruit and retain individuals who align with our core values, purpose, mission, and vision. Final total compensation is based on a multitude of factors including, but not limited to, skill level, relevant experience to the position, and cost of labor.

Annual pay range:
$90,000$120,000 USD
Total annual compensation including commission up to:
$150,000$200,000 USD
