Job Title: Account Associate, Member Engagement

Location: London, United Kingdom

Job Purpose: ClarusONE can only perform its role well if it has an excellent understanding of what our Members’, both Walmart and McKesson, need and what their customers want. That is where Member Engagement comes in, playing an important part in providing insight and direction to our sourcing teams, who can then work across the global supply base to secure the right products at the right price. Member Engagement is a team of 6 associates but you’ll be sitting right at the heart of the action.

As an Account Associate, you will primarily be working to support Walmart but your work may involve areas for both Members, with an objective of maximising the value ClarusONE can deliver. The Account Associate, Member Engagement will be responsible for providing information and insight that supports the day-to-day requirements of the Member and ClarusONE. The Account Associate will support the Senior Account Manager, Walmart on all Member matters, anticipate the Member needs, work within ClarusONE to put automation and processes in place whilst still ensuring that deadlines are met and value is delivered for the Member.

The role will also work closely with the sourcing team to ensure that they have all of the information that they require to source product that meets the Members’ and their respective customer’s needs. This is a critical role and you will be expected to challenge the status quo in how we work, so that we can continue to operate more efficiently and better serve our stakeholders.

Your training will provide the specifics required in the role but what we need is someone that can solve problems, re-engineer processes, identify ways to automate work, bring together and analyse information and above all, someone that can build strong work relationships and deals well with people at all levels. We are also looking for someone that is comfortable to use their own initiative and isn’t scared to try new things.

Responsibilities:

• Working alongside the Senior Account Manager, Walmart to ensure that Walmart’s day-to-day operational requirements are met and information is made available to our Member to ensure that Walmart receives excellent service;

• Ensure that day to day sourcing requests are resolved on a timely basis, acting as a bridge between the ClarusONE sourcing teams and the Walmart Health and Wellbeing (H&W) team, enabling speed of decision making and accurate execution.

• Review reporting on a monthly basis to ensure that Walmart is achieving its objective of lowest cost in generics procurement. Following the review of these documents, actions should be put in place to ensure their speedy resolution; documents to review include (but are not limited to):

o Indirect contract performance

o Primary vs Backup program spend

o GID analysis of high volume of backup program spend

• Working with the Senior Account Manager to ensure that Walmart formulary is maintained and driving the right purchasing decisions in the Members.

• Maintain a high level of Member satisfaction by collaborating with various teams within ClarusOne to ensure that queries are dealt with promptly

• Investigation and review of the service level issues for Walmart, particularly those items purchased via McKesson

• Support in the preparation of monthly performance results to be fed into a monthly report for senior leadership

• Seek opportunities to improve and enhance processes through technology that reduce effort and support Sourcing, the Member or the customer in generating more immediate value. This may include undertaking testing work and the rollout of any system changes so that they are fit for purpose for our Members

• Working with the Senior Account Manager to establish a solid understanding of the customer’s most critical priorities for the medium and long term. This should then provide the basis from which ClarusONE can make the necessary changes to its processes and ensuring that it is on track to meet the Member’s needs

• Participate in routine business meetings with ClarusONE teams, the Member and with the customer. Identify critical action points, stakeholders, and ensure follow through. Work closely with Member pricing and sell side functions to help track and resolve product implementation and pricing issues;

• Establish solid understanding of US generics landscape from a supplier, wholesaler, and retail business perspective, as well as ClarusONE / customer business processes.

• Provide cover for other members of the Member Engagement team, particularly for service level, which will involve attending weekly calls and distributing emails containing the weekly performance

• Monitor market activity and analyse data to spot trends and opportunities that may further enhance the Member offering

Required Experience/Skills

• 2 years key account management or related experience required

• Excellent communication skills and able to work with all levels of management and internal/external customers to get results quickly – able to communicate complex data to stakeholders in a simplified and action-oriented manner

• Well organized, process and team-oriented with the ability to prioritize quickly. • Highly motivated self-starter: ability to initiate and manage work with sense of urgency.

• Ability to perform well is a results driven environment that is constantly changing.

• Ability to build and maintain long term relationships.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Preferred Experience/Skills

• Bachelors degree or equivalent preferable

• Pharmaceutical experience preferable

• Knowledge and usage of statistical and data manipulation packages is desirable e.g. Alteryx, Tableau, Excel
