We need an English-fluent Lead DevOps Engineer, based in Latin America, available to work remotely.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop, customize and maintain CI/CD pipelines for seamless, automated software delivery using tools like GitLab CI, or GitHub Actions.
  • Implement and manage Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) using Serverless Framework and AWS CloudFormation to enable consistent, repeatable, and reliable deployments.
  • Use AWS ECR, JFrog Artifactory or equivalent to manage build artifacts efficiently within CI/CD workflows for microservices.
  • Provision, manage and maintain cloud infrastructure on AWS (and/or Azure), ensuring scalability, security, and cost optimization.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve integration issues across environments, delivering timely support to development teams.
  • Automate configuration and management of cloud services across platforms using strong scripting skills (Bash, Python, PowerShell).
  • Deploy and manage serverless applications using the Serverless Framework (AWS Lambda, ECS Fargate, Glue).
  • Deploy and manage serverless applications using AWS Amplify.
  • Manage, AWS S3 buckets, AWS CloudFront.
  • Automate and perform database backups, recovery, and migrations across clusters as needed.
  • Implement versioned software package updates and resolve backward compatibility issues.
  • Configure, secure, and monitor VPN and network access to AWS cloud environments for multiple teams.
  • Lead incident response and service recovery efforts, including log analysis and root cause identification.
  • Contribute to monitoring, logging, and alerting systems to ensure platform health and availability.
  • Enforce security best practices and compliance standards throughout infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Nice to have: Experience with Kubernetes, and Micro-Front ends.

Requirements:

  • 5 - 8 years of experience in software engineering (or proof of exceptional talent).
  • Proven experience leading and mentoring a DevOps team to deliver scalable and reliable infrastructure solutions.
  • Strong self-starter with the ability to independently initiate, plan, and drive new projects from concept to completion.
  • Hands-on experience with AWS Cloud Services.
  • Hands-on experience with containerization tools such as Docker.
  • Experience with Serverless architecture.
  • Hands on experience with orchestration tools such as Kubernetes.
  • Familiarity with monitoring and observability solutions like Datadog, CloudWatch, Prometheus, and Grafana.
  • Solid understanding of security and audit best practices for cloud infrastructure and DevSecOps pipelines.
  • Proven experience supporting SaaS products in production environments.
  • Excellent communication skills, comfortable working with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. 
  • Experience with CI/CD workflows for Front-end and Back-end applications.
  • Experience working in a SaaS or startup environment. 
  • Familiarity with AWS Amplify and other AWS front-end hosting services.
  • Experience with AWS CLI.
  • Some familiarity with Angular and React.
  • Some familiarity with Node.
  • Familiarity with Terraform or equivalent.

Experience with any of the following is a plus:

  • Serverless Architecture.
  • Serverless Framework.
  • Kubernetes.
  • Docker.
  • Shell scripting.
  • Terraform.

Compensation:

  • The Salary range offered for this position varies from (USD) $4,500 - $6,000 per month, depending on seniority and skillset.
  • This position is for an independent contractor, through a payroll platform.
  • The talent will work REMOTELY allocated at our client.
