2026 - UX Research Intern, Dublin

Dublin Full Time

We're seeking a UX Research Intern who is passionate about conducting product research and creating great, intuitive customer experiences. This researcher should care deeply about our customers and be driven to improve the product experience.

What we are looking for in you 

  • In the process of receiving a Master’s degree in User Research, Human Computer Interaction, Interaction Design, Cognitive Psychology, Digital Media Design, and/or related fields 
  • Interested in understanding our current and potential users by identifying their motivations, needs, expectations, and goals 
  • Ability to plan and perform end-to-end research (with support/oversight of an experienced UX researcher/lead) including:
    • Collaborate with designers and stakeholders to understand research needs
    • Define research questions and selecting appropriate methods of data collection
    • Define timelines for the research projects
    • Recruit participants for research studies
    • Conduct design research studies and collecting and analyzing data through a wide array of UX research methods including, but not limited to: user interviews, field studies, surveys, competitive analyses, card sorting and live A/B testing 
    • Translate research findings into actionable insights for diverse audiences, including product designers, product managers and engineers
    • Present your findings to designers, product managers, engineers, and other stakeholders
  • Familiar with usability heuristics and best practices in UX design
  • Prototyping skills and/or the ability to work with design or engineering to create prototypes for user research needs
  • Portfolio of work or project work that includes case studies of design and/or user research projects that highlight your process and your role on the project
  • Have a minimum of one quarter/semester remaining in university studies after the internship concludes. Graduation date in Fall 2026, Spring 2027
  • Must be authorized to work in Ireland and provide the Company with copies of all relevant documents, if requested. Company sponsorship may be available for eligible candidates applying for certain positions.

MongoDB internships are full-time (40 hours/week) for 10 consecutive weeks lasting from dates in June until August. All interns are considered hybrid employees, designated the "in office" working model and are expected to be in their office location 3-5 days a week.
