Job Description

Covington Plasma, part of Global Manufacturing & Supply, plays a critical role in ensuring the safe and reliable production of plasma-derived therapies. The team supports operations by maintaining robust processes, documentation, and technology solutions that uphold the highest standards of quality and compliance.
 

Managing and updating IT documentation is essential for maintaining consistent internal processes, but it can be time intensive. At the same time, our team is advancing projects that apply artificial intelligence to improve efficiency and knowledge management. This internship will support both areas by assisting with the development and organization of AI project materials while also updating and standardizing IT documentation. The goal is to enhance project execution and reduce the daily documentation workload, ensuring accuracy and long-term accessibility of information.
 

How You Will Contribute:

Duties will include the following, under the manager’s supervision:

  • Assisting with the organization, updating, and standardization of IT documentation to ensure accuracy and accessibility.

  • Supporting AI project development by preparing and maintaining project documentation, datasets, and results tracking.

  • Collaborating with team members to troubleshoot documentation gaps and streamline information flow.

  • Hands-on experience with AI tools and applications, including exposure to data preparation, model interpretation, and results documentation.

  • Best practices for creating, updating, and standardizing IT documentation in a professional environment.

  • How to collaborate across teams to support both technical projects and process improvements.

  • Approaches to troubleshooting problems, analyzing outputs, and producing creative solutions under the guidance of experienced professionals.

  • Methods for applying AI and documentation skills to solve real-world challenges in an organization.
     

Job Requirements:

  • This position will be full-time and require 4+ days per week on-site at the Covington site.

  • Must be pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a STEM, Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, or related discipline.

  • A passion for technology, AI, and process improvement, with an interest in careful investigation and creative, analytical thinking.

  • Proven familiarity with AI concepts, programming (e.g., Python), and documentation preferred.

Internship Eligibility 

  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. on a permanent basis without requiring sponsorship  

  • Must be currently enrolled in a degree program graduating December 2026 or later  

  • The internship program is 10-12 weeks depending on the two start dates (May 26th-August 14th or June 15th- August 21st)   

  • The intern must be able to commit to one of these time frames   

  • Able to work full time 40 hours a week during internship dates   

  • Takeda does not provide a housing stipend or relocation support for the U.S Summer Internship Program

U.S. Hourly Wage Range:

$21.00 - $46.00

The estimated hourly range reflects an anticipated range for this position. The actual hourly wage offered will depend on the candidate’s school year/level to be entered following completion of internship.  The actual hourly wage offered will be in accordance with state or local minimum wage requirements for the job location. 

 

U.S. internship benefits vary by location and may include:
