Job Description

Within Global Insights & Analytics (GIA), you’ll be part of the Global Product & Launch Strategy (GPLS) commercial group. The primary focus of GPLS is to shape the global product strategy journey for mid-to-late pipeline assets through to launch. The GIA is made up of strategic thought partners within GPLS who catalyze data-driven decision making through deep customer and competitive insights, robust analytics and broad market expertise to impact the lives of the patients we serve.
 

Zasocitinib (TAK-279) is an investigational next-generation, highly selective and potent oral allosteric tyrosine kinase 2 (TYK2) inhibitor, which we believe has the potential to be an important oral treatment option for people with psoriasis, psoriatic arthritis, IBD (Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis), vitiligo and other immune-mediated inflammatory diseases.

The GIA Immunology MBA Intern will actively engage with the cross-functional and worldwide Zasocitinib team and shape the strategic commercial plans of an exciting and highly visible late-stage development program in Takeda.

Internship Development Opportunities:

  • Projects are intended to develop insights skills, provide a sense of ownership and illuminate the breadth and diversity of an Insights & Analytics role within a global healthcare organization. You will define, execute and make recommendations for a project related to timely Zasocitinib strategic business questions as well as one related to our ways of working and operational excellence within GIA.  The projects will be presented to the cross-functional team at the end of the summer.

  • Through these projects, you will gain valuable experience communicating your ideas to a broad audience, understanding the broader context of their work and how it contributes to the organization.

  • Projects will enable you to learn how market research is conducted in a complex global model as well as industry guidelines and best practices from experts around the world. This project shows true international awareness and the complexity of successfully launching new products in a worldwide organization in a regulated industry.

  • Receive direct managerial support and coaching from a GIA Lead with opportunities for mentorship from commercial colleagues and networking within Takeda.

Job Requirements:

  • This position will be Hybrid (2-3 days/week in office) out of the Kendall Square, Cambridge, Massachusetts, USA location

  • Must be pursuing a Masters Degree in Business Administration (MBA), or similar area of study, through an accredited program. Bachelor’s degree required.

  • Must be enrolled in school the semester following your internship with Takeda.

  • Operate with a high level of integrity; able to uphold the Takeda values of Patient, Trust, Reputation, Business (PTRB)

  • Professional experience in life science consulting, healthcare, marketing or analytics preferred.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint applications

  • Experience conducting secondary “desk” based research, synthesizing learnings and making evidence-based recommendations strongly preferred.

  • Experience conducting qualitative and/or quantitative primary market research strongly preferred.

  • Currently authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship. Takeda does not provide sponsorship for internship positions.

  • Available to work full-time (40 hours per week), within the core business hours of 8:00am – 5:00pm ET, for 10 to 12 weeks during the summer months.
     

Internship Eligibility 

  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. on a permanent basis without requiring sponsorship  

  • Must be currently enrolled in a degree program graduating December 2026 or later  

  • The internship program is 10-12 weeks depending on the two start dates (May 26th-August 14th or June 15th- August 21st)  

  • The intern must be able to commit to one of these time frames   

  • Able to work full time 40 hours a week during internship dates   

  • Takeda does not provide a housing stipend or relocation support for the U.S Summer Internship Program

U.S. Hourly Wage Range:

$21.00 - $46.00

The estimated hourly range reflects an anticipated range for this position. The actual hourly wage offered will depend on the candidate’s school year/level to be entered following completion of internship.  The actual hourly wage offered will be in accordance with state or local minimum wage requirements for the job location.
