New Markets at Apollo expands access to private markets by building and scaling innovative investment solutions across traditional asset management, defined contribution plans, tax-advantaged strategies, and digital platforms. Together, these channels represent a more than $60 trillion opportunity, historically underserved by private markets. The New Markets team integrates the full capabilities of Apollo and Athene to deliver forward-thinking products, grow distribution, and drive scalable growth. The team partners closely with Apollo’s CEO and Capital Formation leadership to drive growth and innovation in Apollo’s private markets solutions.
The New Markets, Associate works at the intersection of investment strategy, product innovation, and market expansion. This role is designed for an analytical, rigorous, and thoughtful professional who thrives in building new investment solutions from the ground up. The ideal candidate should be able to drive the successful launch and commercialization of new, innovative products in the alternative investment and retirement spaces.
Key Responsibilities
• Product Development & Strategy: Assist in the end-to-end design, structuring, and execution of cutting-edge investment products, including Defined Contribution solutions, tax-advantaged vehicles, and private market ETFs.
• Market Expansion & Validation: Conduct in-depth market research and feasibility studies to assess the viability of new investment solutions and their potential adoption across different investor segments.
• Financial & Competitive Analysis: Build financial models, perform valuation analyses, and assess competitive positioning to inform product design and pricing strategies.
• Go-to-Market Execution: Collaborate with investment, distribution, legal, and compliance teams to develop frameworks for launching and scaling first-to-market products.
• Data-Driven Decision Making: Develop insights from investor behavior, industry trends, and macroeconomic data to refine product strategy and positioning.
• Storytelling & Communication: Translate complex investment strategies into compelling narratives for internal stakeholders, distribution teams, and investors.
• Operational Infrastructure & Scaling: Design and implement processes to efficiently launch, distribute, and manage new investment products at scale.

Qualifications & Experience
• Pursuing an MBA or JD/MBA (Class of 2027) with an excellent academic record and a demonstrated interest in finance through previous internships, jobs, and coursework
• 2-5 years of experience in investment banking, asset management, private markets, consulting, or a related field.
• Technical Finance & Modeling: Strong financial modeling skills, including valuation techniques, scenario analysis, and structuring expertise.
• Market Research & Competitive Analysis: Ability to analyze new market opportunities and develop insights to shape product development strategies.
• Transaction & Structuring Experience: Exposure to capital raising, M&A, structured finance, or investment vehicles, with an understanding of how to structure new investment products.
• Entrepreneurial Mindset: Experience working in ambiguous, fast-paced environments where product structures, investor preferences, and regulations are still evolving.
• Project & Stakeholder Management: Ability to juggle multiple projects and work cross-functionally to bring new solutions to market efficiently.
• Strong Communication & Presentation Skills: Experience developing pitch decks, investment memos, and marketing materials that effectively communicate complex investment ideas.
• Alternative Investments Knowledge: Understanding of private equity, private credit, hedge funds, structured products, and their potential adaptation to new investor markets.

The base salary range for this position is listed above. This position is also eligible for a discretionary annual bonus based on personal, team, and Firm performance. Compensation ranges are based on several factors including job function, level, and geographic location. Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors including candidate experience and expertise, and may vary from the amounts listed here.
