Job Summary

Intern candidates will be supporting a distributed automated platform for compute, network, and storage infrastructure by providing custom Design and Integration services for our featured deployments in a large high-performance environment leveraging both traditional data center and cloud technologies.

Note: This position will be filled as “Onsite” at the Raytheon Facility located in Richardson TX.


What You Will Do:

  • You will leverage company and industry best practices and capabilities to assist with the development, deployment, implementation, and support of Commercial Off The Shelf (COTS) infrastructure solutions.
  • You will use your experience to configure factory systems, COTS components and related product integration within the facility.
  • You will work with the team to configure and prepare COTS Items in preparation for delivery to customers in coordination with 3rd party organizations as needed.
  • Provide basic support in the development, documentation and maintenance/management of operations concepts, requirements (system, element, segment, or subsystem level), external and internal interfaces, and other systems engineering work products/artifacts.
  • Integrate multiple software and hardware subsystems.
  • Apply technical standards, principles, theories, concepts, and techniques to solve problems.


Qualifications You Must Have:

  • This position is for an intern who is enrolled in a Bachelor’s (or higher) degree program in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and will be at minimum Junior, Senior or Post Grad year by summer 2026.

  • Experience with basic operating systems such as: Windows / Linux
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Products: (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio, Etc.)
  • Experience with Electrical and Mechanical Technologies (Basic AC/DC Principles, Familiarity with Hand Tools and their use, a basic understanding of various electronic test equipment and their use.)
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a US security clearance.  U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.


Qualifications We Prefer:

  • Experience with Documenting and implementing solutions to maintain functioning hardware baseline.
  • Experience with Performing and documenting hardware audits and coordinating resolutions as necessary.
  • Experience with basic schematics reading, updating / redlining designs and or making changes to existing documentation to support system changes.
  • Exposure to integration of software and hardware subsystems
  • Exposure to security engineering concepts and practices

The salary range for this role is 37,000 USD - 82,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.
