Job Summary:

The LTAMDS / Ghosteye (GE) within Systems Engineering & Test Capabilities (SETC) seeks talented recent graduates to join our team as Systems Engineers supporting Integration, Verification, and Flight & Ground Test for an advanced Missile Defense Radar System.

We integrate hardware and software, develop test plans and procedures, debug and evaluate system interfaces and functions, and verify system requirements in support of final sell-off to our customers.

Every day has a different set of challenges to overcome. Whether in hardware, software, networking, or some combination of all three, you'll be stretched to learn about how our systems work and identify the sources of new and unexpected issues through lots of troubleshooting and data analysis. You'll be expected to collaborate across disciplines and partner to implement solutions. In this role, you'll get to know a little bit about every aspect of the system and have a direct hand in making it all work together supporting teams of engineers engaged in integration and test efforts across the program.

This position is an onsite role in Tewksbury, MA. 

 Occasional travel between Raytheon facilities in both MA and southern NH is expected. Up to 20% additional travel may expected to support test events.

There is also the potential for supporting testing on multiple shifts.

Responsibilities to Anticipate:

  • Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team
  • Operate our systems, as well as related simulators/stimulators
  • Identify and resolve issues and anomalies through debugging/troubleshooting and data analysis
  • Integrate hardware or software into a tactical system, and evaluate the functionality and impact of these changes
  • Develop documentation, execute plans and procedures, process and analyze data, and communicate results
  • Communicate with internal and/or external stakeholders
  • Travel to support mission execution at applicable facility, test site, vendor, and/or customer location

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM)
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with radar systems, weapons systems, or command and control systems
  • Experience with data analysis, including the application of scripting or automation using tools such as MATLAB, Python, DOORS, etc.
  • Proficiency with commonly used test equipment, such as Oscilloscopes, Network Analyzers, Spectrum Analyzers, etc.
  • Experience with electrical schematics, interface control documentation, networks, and communication protocols
  • Exposure to concepts of radar operations and/or coursework in digital signal processing, algorithm development, electromagnetism, electronics, etc.

The salary range for this role is 55,000 USD - 107,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
