Job Description

Primary Functional Responsibilities

  • Safely load and unload lumber trucks, ensuring accurate handling and storage.

  • Load and unload hardware containers and ensure materials are staged properly for production use.

  • Load and unload board materials, verifying quantities and condition upon receipt.

  • Operate a forklift to move, stack, and transport materials (training provided).

  • Utilize Oracle to receive materials, create LPNs, and maintain accurate inventory records.

  • Perform weekly inventory counts of all warehouse materials, reporting discrepancies as needed.

  • Operate and maintain a wrapping machine for securing product and material bundles.

  • Load lumber into carts for the Rough Mill, ensuring proper material flow to production.

  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in accordance with company policies.

  • Assist with other warehouse and material handling tasks as directed.

Essential Qualifications & Skills

  • High school diploma or equivalent.

  • Ability to operate a forklift or willingness to be trained and certified.

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy when handling materials and recording data.

  • Basic computer skills; ability to learn and use Oracle or similar ERP systems.

  • Ability to lift, push, and pull materials up to [weight limit] safely.

  • Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.

  • Reliable attendance and ability to work assigned shifts.

  • Ability to follow safety guidelines and standard operating procedures.

Preferred Qualifications & Skills

  • Prior experience in warehouse, manufacturing, or material handling roles.

  • Previous forklift certification or experience.

  • Familiarity with Oracle ERP systems and LPN creation.

  • Experience performing inventory cycle counts.

  • Knowledge of lumber, hardware, or wood products handling.

  • Experience using material wrapping equipment.
