About the Team:

The Financial Data team at AlphaSense is responsible for delivering the data foundation that powers our industry-leading market intelligence platform. We focus on sourcing, integrating, and surfacing structured datasets that enable clients to discover and act on insights in new ways. Our team is dedicated to delivering these datasets directly into our clients' most critical workflows, with a key focus on our Microsoft Excel add-ins used for financial modeling and analysis.

About the Role:

We are seeking a Product Manager to own and define the next generation of our financial data offerings, with a specific emphasis on our Excel add-in products. In this role, you’ll sit at the intersection of our vast financial datasets and the end-user's core analysis environment. You will drive the roadmap for how users access, manipulate, and refresh our data directly within their spreadsheets, defining the user experience and feature set that makes our add-in an indispensable tool for financial professionals.

You’ll partner closely with engineering, design, and business stakeholders to define requirements, author PRDs, and lead the development of new features. This is a high-visibility position with opportunities to influence AlphaSense’s roadmap and own a critical client-facing application.

Who You Are:
  • An experienced Product Manager with a minimum of 2 years of experience building SaaS products in partnership with engineering and scrum teams.
  • Experienced in financial data products, with a strong preference for Excel add-ins, financial modeling tools, or desktop integration products.
  • A clear, persuasive communicator who creates PRDs, roadmaps, and requirements that align stakeholders and drive execution.
  • Organized and detail-oriented, with a proven ability to manage a complex product backlog and deliver features end-to-end.
  • A strategic thinker with a discovery mindset, deeply curious about client workflows and pain points, especially those of financial analysts, investment bankers, and corporate finance teams.
  • A track record of owning roadmap and delivery in SaaS environments.
  • Familiarity with AI-powered search or workflow technologies is a plus.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business, or a related field required.

What You’ll Do:

  • Define and execute the short- and mid-term roadmaps for the AlphaSense Excel Add-ins, aligning with business objectives and client needs.
  • Contribute to the long-term Financial Data vision by building a deep understanding of client personas (e.g., analysts, bankers) and their financial modeling use cases.
  • Write and prioritize product requirements (PRDs) informed by customer discovery and client feedback, specifically related to data access, formula building, and data visualization in Excel.
  • Collaborate with engineering, design, and GTM teams to ensure successful product launches and adoption of new add-in features.
  • Lead the development lifecycle for new add-in features, from ideation and user stories through to launch and post-launch iteration.
  • Identify and conduct QA strategies for add-in functionality, performance, and data accuracy.
  • Work with core data platform teams to ensure seamless data delivery, API performance, and reliability for the add-in.
